This is a copy of the driving directions and maps for travel to our locations in Cranston at 80 East St and North Kingstown at 1950 Tower Hill Rd in Rhode Island. This page is formatted to print on a standard 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper.

SSTARBIRTH (Cranston, RI)

FROM ROUTE 95 SOUTH:

To Exit 14 (Route 37 West)
Take Exit 3 (exit immediately off Route 37 West).  This is Pontiac Avenue.  At the end of the exit ramp turn left onto Pontiac Avenue.  Pass through 3 sets of lights, the prison will be on your right and an industrial park on your left.  Continue straight ahead.  Pass Pontiac East Condominiums on your left.  SSTARBIRTH is the very next building on your left set back off the road. (Gray with White trim).  There is a sign with a STAR out front that reads 80 East Street.

FROM ROUTE 95 NORTH:

To Exit 14B (Route 37 West)
Take Exit 3 (Pontiac Avenue).  At the end of the exit ramp turn left onto Pontiac Avenue.  Pass through 3 sets of lights, the prison will be on your right and an industrial park on your left.  Continue straight ahead.  Pass Pontiac East Condominiums on your left.  SSTARBIRTH is the very next building on your left set back off the road.  (Gray with White trim).  There is a sign with a STAR out front that reads 80 East Street.

 
NORTH KINGSTOWN                                      (**Please see Important Note below Map)

FROM SOUTHEASTERN MA and PROVIDENCE AREAS:

Take Route 195 to Route 95 South following 95 South to Route 4 (which turns into Route 1).  Pass Route 138 exit on the right (to Jamestown and Newport) and immediately after you pass this exit the entrance to the SSTAR of RI facility will be on your left.

FROM AQUIDNECK ISLAND:

Take Route 138 over the two bridges, follow signs to New York and Route 1.  Immediately after entering Route 1, the entrance to the SSTAR of RI facility will be on your left.

FROM NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND:

Take Route 295 South to Route 95 South to Route 4 South (which turns into Route 1 South).  Immediately after the Route 138 ext (Newport and Jamestown Bridges) on the right the entrance to the SSTAR of RI facility is located immediately on your left.

FROM SOUTH COUNTY & VICINITY:

Follow Route 1 North towards Providence.  The entrance to the SSTAR of RI facility is located immediately before the exit to Route 138 (Newport and Jamestown Bridges).

** The entrance to SSTAR from the highway has now been blocked off by orange barrels.  You will need to continue driving for approximately 1 1/2 miles until there is an opening that will allow you to make a U-Turn to head back in the opposite direction.  (As a landmark, look for a horse farm on the right-hand side shortly before the opening to turn.)  Continue until you see a SSTAR sign at the entrance.
