Batterer’s Intervention Program

Our Certified Batterer's Intervention Program is a 40-week program, which provides educational groups for batterers and resource information to partners and victims as part of a coordinated community response.

Clients can participate in one of the following on-going groups:

  • Monday: 2:00.p.m. to 4:00p.m.; 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Female Perpetrator’s group – Tuesdays: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Portuguese-speaking group – Tuesdays: 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Participation in this program is by way of a court-ordered mandate to attend for violating a restraining order or assaulting a partner; a referral from the Department of Social Services or a therapist, or self-referral.

Fees: SSTAR uses a sliding fee scale that takes into account the participants ability to pay. No one is denied services based on an inability to pay.
