Health Access Program
Our Health Access Program is a referral service designed to guarantee access to medical care for Southeastern Massachusetts residents regardless of their medical problems. The program is staffed by a nurse and trained professionals who assess each call and make appropriate referrals to service providers and area hospitals. Clients are screened for possible eligibility into state-funded programs such as MassHealth and Commonwealth Care, which offers access to healthcare to the uninsured and underinsured citizens of the Commonwealth. For clients who are HIV-positive, screening can also include an eligibility review for the MassHealth HIV Waiver program, part of the Family Assistance benefit level that offers assistance for individuals living with HIV/AIDS that cannot get care on any other MassHealth level. For people living with HIV who are ineligible for MassHealth, an eligibility review for the HIV Drug Assistance Plan (HDAP) is also available. For more information, please contact Health Access Program at (508) 675-1054 extension 3399 or 3227.
