Intimate Partner Abuse Education Program

Our Certified Intimate Partner Abuse Education Program is a 40-week program, which provides educational groups for perpetrators of intimate partner abuse and resource information to partners and victims as part of a coordinated community response.

Clients can participate in one of the following on-going groups:

  • Monday: 11:00am – 1:00pm, 1:00pm – 3:00pm, 5:30pm – 7:30pm, 7:30pm – 9:30pm
  • Tuesday:  5:30pm – 7:30pm

Women’s Group 

  • Monday: 3:00pm – 5:00pm

Portuguese-Speaking Group

  • Tuesday: 7:00pm – 9:00pm

Participation in this program is by way of a court-ordered mandate to attend for violating a restraining order or assaulting a partner; a referral from the Department of Social Services or a therapist, or self-referral.

Fees: SSTAR uses a sliding fee scale that takes into account the participants ability to pay. No one is denied services based on an inability to pay.  All requests for free services are evaluated on a case by case basis.
