Steve Cordeiro and Maria Duran are July Employees of the Month!
Steve has been a dedicated member of the SSTAR team for 6 years/8 months as Maintenance in our Facilities Department.
Steve consistently goes above and beyond in supporting both his team and the organization. He approaches every day with a positive attitude and a strong desire to help others, always looking for opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and ensure that service is delivered promptly and efficiently. Steve understands the importance of responsiveness and works diligently to prevent delays, often volunteering for tasks that others may not have the capacity to handle. His commitment to providing excellent support makes him a dependable and highly valued member of the team.
In addition to his strong work ethic, Steve demonstrates exceptional adaptability and problem-solving skills. He can think on his feet, quickly assess changing situations, and adjust priorities as needed to achieve successful outcomes. No task is ever too big or too small for Steve, and he willingly assists anyone who needs support, regardless of department or role. He is often the first person to step forward when help is needed, fostering collaboration and teamwork across the organization. His willingness to support others, coupled with his reliability and flexibility, makes a significant impact on both team morale and overall operational success.

Maria has been a valued member of the SSTAR team for three years, serving as Security Lead for our Facilities Department.
Maria consistently demonstrates an exceptional commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and clients. She takes personal responsibility for ensuring that security coverage is never compromised, regularly going above and beyond what is expected to fill staffing gaps when needed. Whether it requires extending her shift, working additional hours, or returning later to cover an overnight assignment, Maria steps up without hesitation to ensure operations continue smoothly. Her dedication, reliability, and strong sense of accountability make her a trusted leader who can always be counted on during challenging situations.
Beyond her commitment to security coverage, Maria does an outstanding job managing staffing schedules and coordinating personnel to ensure seamless operations. She proactively identifies and addresses staffing shortages, arranging coverage and balancing schedules in a way that minimizes disruptions and maintains continuity of service. Her ability to anticipate needs and resolve challenges behind the scenes allows daily operations to run efficiently. Maria is also a tremendous source of support for her colleagues, always making herself available to assist staff with questions, concerns, or additional needs. Her approachable, friendly demeanor and genuine willingness to help others foster a positive work environment and strengthen teamwork throughout the organization.
