Sheila Kaufman and Keith Martin are the Employees of the Month!
Sheila Kaufman has been The Prevention Manager for over 4 years having been at SSTAR for over 6 years!
Sheila is a strong face for SSTAR in the Fall River community. Sheila oversees all community outreach prevention efforts partnering with towns as far as Mansfield. She is a fierce advocate for both primary prevention and harm reduction. Her expansive knowledge of southeastern Massachusetts and the field of substance use disorder make her a go to resource. Sheila approaches each client with a view for overall health and wellness responding to the psychological, physical, and emotional wellbeing of those under her teams’ care. Sheila consistently fosters a positive work environment creating a strong sense of belonging among her staff which is why multiple members of her team took the time to write this nomination. She is creative and responsive in a post pandemic world. She empowers her team and mentors them to make strong decisions when it comes to the work valuing the assets of each member. She is well respected in Fall River and the other communities served creating opportunities for SSTAR across the area.

Keith Martin has been a Care Coordinator with SSTAR’s Community Partnership Program for 2 years!
Keith has been an amazing addition to the CP team. As a Care Coordinator his clients have benefitted greatly from his efforts often giving very positive feedback to the management team. Keith balances care and professionalism to promote best outcomes for all his clients. He is always willing to help anyone with whatever is needed exuding warmth and positivity to all who he encounters. He manages his caseload well, completing work and even taking on extra tasks with ease. Keith is always willing to help anyone and has become a “go to” on the Community Partnership team. The team is grateful to have Keith as a strong, reliable, and excellent member!
