Mobile Health Services at Durfee
About Us?
SSTAR has launched a new Mobile Health Unit equipped with a private medical examination room. This unit will be stationed at Durfee High School, right outside the entrance to the Nurse’s Office on Elsbree Street. It will be staffed by Maxine Dube, one of SSTAR’s Family Nurse Practitioners, along with a Medical Assistant or Nurse. Services will be available for 12 hours each week.
Ways to Receive Mobile Health Services
- The School Nurse can refer a student to receive services and will send the parent/guardian a message through Parent Square with a link to SSTAR to supply basic registration information and consent to treat the student.
- SSTAR will set an appointment for the student and communicate that to the School Nurse and Parent.
- If a student is sick at school and the van is present, the School Nurse may contact the parent to see if they want the student to have a sick visit at the Mobile Health Van.
