Rapid Access Center

SSTAR’s Rapid Access Center is a centralized assessment center that provides access to services including inpatient detox, individual and group counseling, psychiatric services along with medication for addiction treatment

The Rapid Access Center at SSTAR is a service created in response to the recommendation of the Governor’s working group to combat the opioid epidemic in Massachusetts. The goals of the Rapid Access Center are to improve immediate access to opioid and other substance use disorder treatment services, to reduce unnecessary use of emergency care system and reduce health disparities among those with substance use disorders.

The Rapid Access Center provides walk-in triage services and referrals to various levels of treatment for individuals suffering from the disease of addiction. These services include assessments by trained social workers, medical assessments done by registered nurses, and recovery coaches who assist with facilitating referrals to inpatient and outpatient addiction programs. Our treatment team is committed to helping those recover from addiction and lead productive lives.

Additionally, we help family members of individuals with substance use disorders find the help they need to support their loved one.

There is hope, just reach out by phone or walk on in. That one step could change your life. We want to help you live the life you want to live.

Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30am – 6:00pm
