What is the RDD Retention Study?
The purpose of this research study is to test strategies, including medications and techniques to help patients with opioid use disorder stay on medications.
Study Medications:
- Buprenorphine (sublingual, injectable)
- Naltrexone (Vivitrol)
Who is this study for?
- People with opioid use disorder seeking medication (buprenorphine or naltrexone)
- Participants must be entering a new treatment episode (i.e. recently started medication or are planning to start)
What does the study entail?
- Regular medication management appointments with the medical team and research staff
- Medication administration
- Monitoring of the participants substance use disorder
- Access to substance use resources and supports
- Assistance accessing community and health related resources
How does this study benefit patients?
- Rapid access to treatment and medication
- All medication and visits are paid for by the study
- NO INSURANCE REQUIRED!
- Reimbursement provided for some study visits
- Access to innovative treatment approaches
