Youth Mental Health First Aid

The Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is an 8-hour course where attendees learn a 5-step action plan to help a youth that might be developing a mental health problem or substance use disorder and how to support someone who is experiencing a mental health crisis. Youth Mental Health First Aid is administered until appropriate treatment is received or until the crisis resolves. YMHFA participants will learn how to deliver appropriate & immediate care. The course creates awareness about the stigma of mental illness in the community and teaches attendees how to support someone towards recovery in their mental health journey. Additionally, participants who become certified in the Youth Mental Health First Aid course receive a certificate.

Take the course. Save a life. Strengthen your community.
